Have you heard of G.P. Ching and her six book YA paranormal series “The Soulkeepers”?

Yeah, neither have I.

But apparently Hollywood producer Aaron Magnani (once again, never heard of him) has picked up the production rights for this Christian-themed book about a teenage boy who protects Earth from fallen angels, learned from his “beautiful and mysterious” neighbor Dr. Abigail Silva.

The Hollywood Reporter also reports Magnani has optioned a series by renowned sci-fi author C.J. Cherryh, “The Morgaine Stories”, but other than this, information about him is scarce besides one IMDb credit for producing Iron Doors – a movie with this as a synopsis:

A young man must escape from a mysterious locked vault before he dies of dehydration.

It was in 3D. Okay. Still never heard of it.

Although I am very wary of anything with much older hot neighbors teaching teenage boys the art of protecting humans from fallen angels, especially when it’s marketed as Christian-themed, I have to give it to Ching for this level of success. It remains to be seen, however, if anything will come of this.

Purchase “The Soulkeepers” at Amazon – or not, since it’s actually free.
